Frequently Asked Questions
Finding a therapist can feel like a big step. We want to make the process as simple, transparent, and welcoming as possible. Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often about therapy at Glow Collective Integrative Therapy.
If you don't see your question here, we're always happy to help. Reach out to us and we'll point you in the right direction.
-
You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come to therapy because they're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something to change.
Therapy can be a space to better understand yourself, work through difficult experiences, improve relationships, navigate life transitions, or develop new ways of responding to stress and challenges.
At Glow Collective, we believe therapy isn't about fixing something that's broken. It's about creating space to reconnect with yourself, build on your existing strengths, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned.
-
Finding the right therapist matters. A strong therapeutic relationship can make a meaningful difference in your experience of therapy.
Our therapists have different areas of expertise, personalities, and approaches. We encourage you to explore our therapist profiles to learn more about each clinician and find someone whose approach feels like a good fit.
If you're not sure who to choose, reach out to us. We can help connect you with a therapist based on what you're looking for, your goals, and the type of support you need.
-
Your first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, begin talking about what's bringing you to therapy, and start the intake process.
We’ll discuss your history, overall health, social relationships, family dynamics, and cover some occupational information as well.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you come. You can simply show up as you are.
-
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. We always recommend a weekly cadence for the first 3-4 weeks. This allows us to get through the intake, allows you to begin building rapport with your therapist, and gives time to discuss what an appropriate cadence is for you moving forward.
You and your therapist will work together to determine a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable.
-
That depends on the person, the goals of therapy, and what you're working through. Some people come to therapy for a few months to work through a specific challenge, while others find ongoing therapy helpful for continued growth and support.
Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to regularly assess whether therapy is meeting your needs.

Glow Collective offers integrative, individualized therapy for adults. Our therapists draw from a variety of approaches depending on their training and your unique needs.
Our areas of focus include anxiety, stress and burnout, trauma, relationships, substance use, life transitions, sexuality and relationships, psychedelic-assisted therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and psychedelic preparation and integration, among others.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we work collaboratively with you to understand what you need and determine which therapeutic approaches may be most helpful.

For many people, yes. Research has found teletherapy to be an effective option for many common mental health concerns.
Ultimately, the best format is the one that allows you to feel comfortable, engaged, and able to participate fully in the therapeutic process. All of our therapists are specially trained and experienced in telehealth therapy, helping you to feel safe, connected, and supported from wherever you are.

Therapy rates vary depending on the clinician and type of service.
Rates for a 50-minute session with Samantha are $170, and $150 with Nora.
Your therapist's current rate will be discussed with you before you begin treatment so that you understand the cost of services upfront.

Glow Collective is not in-network with any insurance plans, which you can learn more about here. We do, however, offer out-of-network services, which will depend on your specific insurance plan.
-
If your therapist is out-of-network with your insurance company, you may still be eligible for reimbursement for a portion of your therapy expenses.
You will pay Glow Collective directly for your session and your therapist provides documentation that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Your insurance company determines whether and how much it reimburses you.
Glow Collective works with Thrizer to help you determine your benefits, and make the OON reimbursement process much easier!
-
For self-pay clients, payment is collected at the time of service via the card you place on file. This can be a credit card, debit card, or an HSA/FSA card as well.
We also work with several local EAPs (Vail Resorts & Common Spirit), accept a variety of scholarships (no-cost to client options) through Building Hope, Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund, Second Wind Fund, and Path4EMS.In addition, we offer a limited number sliding scale spaces on our caseloads.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact your therapist as soon as possible.
-
Yes. Glow Collective offers psychedelic preparation, integration, psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy services for appropriate clients.
Our approach is grounded in preparation, intention, safety, therapeutic support, and integration. Psychedelic experiences can be meaningful and transformative, but they aren't a substitute for thoughtful preparation and ongoing support.
-
Preparation sessions are designed to help you approach a psychedelic experience with intention and awareness.
Depending on your needs, preparation may include exploring your intentions, understanding potential challenges, developing grounding practices, discussing expectations, and identifying ways to support yourself before and during the experience.
Preparation can be valuable whether you're considering a psychedelic experience for the first time or preparing for another experience after having previous experience with psychedelics.
-
Integration is the process of making meaning from and incorporating insights or experiences from a psychedelic journey into your everyday life.
An experience may feel profound during the journey but become confusing, difficult, or difficult to translate into everyday life afterward. Integration therapy provides a space to slow down, reflect, and explore what the experience may be inviting you to understand or change.
Integration can include working with emotions, relationships, behavior patterns, spirituality, identity, embodiment, and other areas of life that may have been impacted by the experience.
-
No. We work with people who are considering a future psychedelic experience, preparing for one, or integrating a previous experience.
If you're simply curious about psychedelics and want a therapeutic space to explore your intentions or questions, we can help determine whether our services are appropriate for you.
-
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) combines the therapeutic process with the use of ketamine under appropriate medical supervision.
Ketamine itself is administered by a qualified medical provider when appropriate. Therapy can provide support before, during, and/or after the experience, depending on the treatment model and your individual needs.
At Glow Collective, we view KAP as more than simply taking ketamine. The therapeutic relationship, preparation, experience, and integration are all important parts of the process.
-
Therapists and medical providers have different roles in ketamine-assisted treatment. When medication is involved, ketamine is prescribed and managed by an appropriately licensed medical professional. We have a lovely provider that is well versed with ketamine that we refer clients to, though it is not required that you work specifically with her.
If you're interested in KAP, we can explain how the therapeutic and medical components fit together and help you determine what next steps may be appropriate.
-
Finding the right therapist is important, and sometimes the first person you meet isn't the right fit.
We encourage you to be honest with your therapist about what is and isn't working. If another clinician at Glow Collective seems like a better match, we're happy to help you explore your options.
You deserve a therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, understood, and able to be yourself.
-
Yes. If your needs change or you realize another therapist may be a better fit, you can explore working with another clinician.
We believe that finding the right therapeutic relationship is more important than trying to make a particular match work.
-
No! You can reach out directly to us to begin the process via our contact page, or you can book your consultation using this link.
-
Most individual therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes, depending on the therapist and service.
Longer sessions may be available for certain services, including specialized psychedelic preparation, integration, or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. For folks who prefer longer sessions, we can arrange that!
-
That's completely okay.
You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or the perfect words for what's going on. Part of our work together is figuring that out.
You can simply tell us what you're experiencing, what you'd like to be different, or what's been feeling difficult. We'll help you determine what kind of support might make sense.
-
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and it's okay to have questions before getting started.
If you're curious about working with Glow Collective Integrative Therapy, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us a little about what you're looking for, and we'll help you find the next step.
Therapy that meets your whole self.
